We have registered teams in the following categories:

  • U8: 3 teams (Green – Knights – White)
  • U10: 2 teams (Green – Knights)
  • U12: 3 teams (Green – Knights – White)
  • U14: 1 team
  • U16: 1 team

Aims of the Game for BAA Teams

  • We aim to have respect for the game and everyone involved in the game (opponents, referee, teammates, fans, etc.), achieve a quality performance (ball control, game intelligence and athleticism) and play to win; keep in mind that winning must not be achieved without attention to respect and quality performance. In the long term we lose when we win without respect and quality.
  • Humility in victory and gracious in defeat.
  • Football enjoyment!!

Support at Youth Matches

  • Thanks for the support by family and friends during the youth matches.
  • Please refrain from providing ‘coaching’ instructions to the players.
  • Our optimal playing concept requires specific information from the coaches of the program.
  • When the players hear ‘coaching’ instructions from parents/family members it can be confusing and is often counterproductive to the message being transmitted by the coaches based on the program’s playing concept.
  • It will not always look the way we expect it to look and the road to the optimal playing concept performance is long with awkward movements and mistakes, thus requiring patience and perseverance with specific and timely interventions by the coaches.
  • The coaches of BAA take this into account and the delivery and timing  of instruction is important (knowing what to say and when to say it).
  • It is important that the voices that the players hear with regards to instruction are the coaches of BAA.
  • Your support is greatly valued, however, please limit comments to cheers of support.
